Aloha Ministry
Doug & Leonor Nordlund
On December 3, 1993 Doug and Leonor Nordlund were joined together in marriage and they are loving every minute of it. In 1996 they moved to Minnesota where Doug grew up, and lived there for about one year before coming back to Hawaii. Leonor was born and raised in the Philippines, she has 3 children; a son Randy, daughter’s Bridget and Beverly and 3 granddaughters Tehya, Randie and Reese.
Doug works as a Security Director at a major shopping center and as a security consultant with 3 other shopping centers. Leonor has worked as a mortgage consultant and concession stand supervisor at Aloha Stadium. In his free time, Doug enjoys playing with his dogs, going to the gym, watching and playing sports, and especially likes football. Leonor enjoys reading, working out, playing with her grand children, singing, and shopping.
After returning to Hawaii they visited different churches for a while and finally found The Rock Kailua. Doug and Leonor then began to be involved in a variety of church ministries. The Nordlunds are now both a part of the praise and worship team, men’s and women’s choir, church choir, and have been placed in charge of the Aloha Ministry (ushers, greeters and pastor’s aid). Leonor is also involved with INOP, Island Net Work of Prayer.
The Nordlunds enjoy serving at The Rock because of the family atmosphere, the acceptance, the spiritual growth, fellowship, and because it is a place where God’s word goes forth and His presence can be felt in each service.
