Elton Gray II was raised on Oahu, primarily in Kailua.  During his teenage years he participated in Bible Quizzing and developed a deep love for the Word, which developed into a desire for ministry.  Following that desire to Bible College, he graduated from Chrisitan Life College (CLC) in California, in 2002, with a B.A. in Bible and Theology.  He has whole-heartedly served God as a Youth Pastor, Sunday School teacher, Bible Quiz coach, musician, singer, and preacher.  He currently works as a Resident Manager, and when he gets a free moment he loves playing music, golfing, and cooking.

SoShawna (Foster) Gray was born in Missouri and grew up in Lousiana.  She graduated from CLC in California with an A.A. in Bible & Theology and in 2002, her B.A. in Biblical Studies.  Throughout her life she has joyfully served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher, church secretary, Bible Quiz coach, Greeter, Praise Singer, Bulletin/Newsletter Editor, Ladies Ministry leader, and Nursery worker.  She is a voracious reader, loves writing, appreciates her husband’s culinary skills, and collects vintage hats.  She is thrilled to have lived in God’s paradise of Hawaii since 2002.

Elton and SoShawna were married in 2004, and have two beautiful children; Samuel was born in 2006 and his sister, Olivia Sunshine, joined the family in 2008.  The Gray ohana consider it a blessing to be able to minister at The Rock Kailua.  Elton assists the pastor as an Undershepherd, teaching home Bible studies, providing spiritual guidance, contributing to the music ministry and any other needs the pastor may require.
